My house!!!! 6 roommates, but the house is extremely peaceful and clean. Everyone is from a different country. They are not NSE students, but students at the university. There are a couple Californians also. It’s wonderful.

I don’t think I mentioned, a LOT of the stereotypes of southern California are completely true out here hahahaha!!!! However ive definitely gotten back in touch with my artistic side again since ive been here which is a godsend. If there was just more time in the day!!!!!! #CaliforniaLove

Spring quarter begins….

Ok so here are a lot more photos. I’ve been crazy busy with life out here. Winter quarter flew by. Had some great teachers, wonderful experiences. I don’t even have a tv out here im always socializing or painting or outside exercising and enjoying the sun since it’s always HOT!! Temperature is amazing!! My first week of spring quarter is already amazing, I adore my professors and my classes!!!! I joined the chamber orchestra for fun although I have no idea how ill have the time. Everyone here is so incredibly helpful and friendly, it feels like home. It’s hard being so far away from my loved ones sometimes but that’s life and I wouldnt trade this experience for ANYTHING! I couldn’t have made a better life transition. I haven’t gone on any auditions yet because im waiting to get down to my goal weight first, which im getting there :). I’m also waiting to get an income. Last week I spent one night applying to jobs. I’m a fool for putting it off for so long!!!!! I thought it would be tiring and tedious, absolutely not! I used the symplicity site through the school career center, which is the same system USC uses, and I used LinkedIn. All you do is connect through FB or your LinkedIn site and upload your resume then click away!!! Apply, apply, apply. I got 12 jobs offers in 3 days. Really fantastic jobs. I’m had to turn down a few due to schedule conflicts but I locked down a job with a production company for my return from study abroad this summer, it’s in Palm Springs. They produce Home Makeovers in the Desert. I’m going to apply to more since my intentions was to move closer to the beach but I’m extremely excited about that. In addition, I got several amazing internship offers with the California State Assembly, Make a Wish Foundation, Hands for Africa, Together We Rise, and more. I’m going to do an internship once a week and try to get a bartending job nearby this weekend to make cash for Brazil this summer. Anyways, i’ll try updating more often!!!! Just a tip, if you’re in the right field the job market here is fabulous, and it’s not as expensive as they say :-). I may never leave. When you start to miss home be creative. I’ve gotten handwritten letters, cards, little videos, I send random pics or videos, I’ve sent sweet care packages to my girls. Skypes a great tool but be creative, everyone loves surprise mail/ unique media that doesnt go straight to facebook lol!! Family is forever :-) XOXO DM
